Nigel Grant
Director, lead trainer and supervising editor. MA in English (Sussex University); BEd (2/1 Hons) English and Education (London). English teacher to A level 1980–2003 in grammar, wide-ability and private schools. Ex-head of English, sixth form and drama. Textbook author. Freelance education writer. Business writing trainer and editor since January 2004. Enjoys reading, writing, theatre, music, dancing, entertaining and his Morris Traveller. Member of

Gwynne Grant
Company secretary. MA in Library and Information Studies (University College London); BA (2/1Hons) Open University. Chartered member of CILIP. Former associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Gwynne has a strong background in commercial insurance underwriting and is now a chartered librarian. She oversees all our business arrangements, and reviews materials for clients whose work matches her experience. Enjoys reading, entertaining, gardening, the theatre, dancing and church.
Robert Grant
Nigel and Gwynne’s first son. BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Nottingham University). Designer and consultant for a global software company. Rob designed and maintains our website, and oversees our IT systems. He checks our site for clear, effective language, helps write materials for clients in technology sectors, and helps edit technical documents. Keen pianist, runner, gym enthusiast, real ale drinker and church member.
James Grant
Rob's brother. BA (Hons), English Language and Literature (1st, King’s College London). James helps write materials and edits non-technical documents. He is a government communications writer, a keen percussionist (try his band,
The Patio Set), a film buff, and a theatre fiend. He has professional level directing experience, and wrote, directed and produced two shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. Cricket enthusiast who occasionally scores runs.
Katie Grant
Katie married James in 2008. BSc (Hons), Pharmacology (1st, Southampton); Bachelor of Medicine (Honours, Southampton). She's a medical doctor, specialising in anaesthetics and intensive care. Katie advises on materials for medical and scientific writing courses. She enjoys playing the trombone, concerts, the cinema and spending time with her family. Katie also loves cats.
Wendy Palmer
Wendy is closely involved in developing, refining and producing materials, and carries out a range of back office duties. She provides similar support to a local charity.
Kate Stevens
Kate owns KMS Accountancy Services and is a full member of the Institute of Financial Accountants. She keeps HMRC at bay, provides a range of financial advice and, with Gwynne, guides our business development.
