Nigel Grant Training is a small family-owned company. After leaving teaching in 2003, Nigel worked from 2004 to 2006 with three plain English providers while developing his own approaches and products. We formed a limited company in 2007 and recast it as a limited liability partnership in 2012.
Our people have strong relevant qualifications and experience, and believe that clear communication matters. Our service rests on different, developing knowledge and talents that help us meet a wide range of needs.

Associates
We get to know all our associates very well before we work with them; we never employ freelances just on recommendation or through network meetings.
Their details do not appear here as they work with other organisations, but we usually put them in direct touch with customers as soon as they accept a contract for us. Most have two degrees and all have years of relevant experience. They are:
- an editor who has been central in the clear language world for years
- a doctor who is a GMC panel member (and has acted with Catherine Zeta Jones)
- a contract lawyer who runs courses on clear legal writing
- a retired lawyer who helped found Clarity and now edits legal documents
- a public sector procurement manager versed in the dark arts of local authority language
- a senior writer and editor for a large science organisation (who has also acted with Catherine Zeta Jones)
- a retired partner in a large actuarial firm
- two general business English trainers.
